Oh! Hey! I didn’t see you there. Wow, you look SO good today! Have you done something different with your hair? Well anyway, welcome to my blog. I’m not sure how you got here, maybe it was the link in my Instagram bio, maybe you googled “funny but relevant blogs written by a good looking chick” and found yourself here (highly likely). Maybe my mum gently threatened you to come visit, I dunno. However you got here, welcome. My name is Sarah (with a ‘h’). I like long* walks on the beach (but not too long. And not if its windy and cold. Actually would probably rather just sit hey.)
Anyway, like I said, my name is Sarah. I am in my 20s (send help). I live in Australia (G’day mate) where I work part time and study nursing at university. I like writing and I use this blog as a platform for me to share. I share what is on my heart and mind and I aim to be vulnerable and honest with you about my life experiences (often embarrassing ones #RIP). In a time when perfectly filtered highlight reels is what you see of other people, I want this to be a safe landing place for your heart, where you feel less alone rather than less than.
I think there is great value in saying “me too”.
Do you have days when you feel unloved? Me too.
Do you have days when you feel not enough? Me too.
Do you have days when you feel rejected? Me too.
Dear friend, know that you are not alone. My hope is that you leave this blog knowing that you are loved, you are enough and you belong. My hope is that you might see a light and a hope in whatever it is that you are going through.
With all this being said, let it be known I am a Christian. I believe that God is real, God is good and that He loves YOU. I believe He is pursuing your heart, gently and relentlessly. Gently in the sense He will not force you to love Him (otherwise you would already no?), you have free will to choose to believe in Him and follow Him. But I assure you his pursuit of you is relentless; there is nothing you have done or can do that will scare Him away. Whoever you are, whatever religious status you hold, whatever your sexual orientation; He is so in love with you and He is eager for you to meet with Him.
I invite you to keep reading, this is just the beginning. I am by no means a professional author or therapist, but will that stop me ? No. Alright, go on, have a read. I assure you I’m super funny and relatable in my posts. See for yourself… I dare you 😏
Got questions? Me too. Hit me up, lets chat about it, contact me below:
